Another Knee question

First off, a little background.

I've had my left knee scoped once and my left ACL replaced as well...I've been lifting for several years.

Yesterday, on my heavy set of squats (I go to just past parallel) my knee began to hurt at about my 7th or 8th rep. The pain is located in the tendon right below my knee cap and makes it uncomfortable to bend; it almost feels like I was hit there. On my last set of light, high rep squats, it was really uncomfortable and this morning it is a little stiff.

I wear neoprene knee sleves while squatting, might that compression had something to do with it?

I'm just looking for some help in how to avoid this from hapenning again and what I might be able to do to help it heal...

I have had the same nagging injury for over a year now..I have never had knee problems before...I can't squat anymore...the best I can do is leg presses and smith machine lunges. and I have rested for months and it did no good, as soon as I went back to squatting it hurt again...its weird to because I can run and do a lot of sports stuff and have no problems, its just the squatting.

damn bro, that doesn't sound promising. Does the pain go away during the week after if you take it easy? My knee feels better again, so I may give squats another whirl tommorrow.
