leg question

do any of you ever do leg presses before squats? or is it always squats first? i have always done squats first but i feel like the leg press hits my legs better. leg day looks like this
standing calfs
squats
leg press super setted with single leg, leg extensions
im thinkin that the squats take my strength thats why the presses feel so good?

I dont usually do them together. I've been having some weird popping in my right knee lately though so I'll do squats and leg extensions. When I squat heavy I dont need anything else for my quads, they get sore enough as it is.

I mix it up brother. Most of the time I will hit squats before presses but I'll switch it up from time to time. My leg day looks like tis most of the time:

Squats
Front squats
Presses
Extensions
Curls

I usually always end with extensions and curls but I will switch the order of the other exercises up. I do notice when I do this I'm usually extra sore the next day. No matter what my legs always get sore the day after my leg workouot.

I always squat first then leg press. I'm stronger on the presses for some reason. Extensions come next. I do hams and calves on a seperate day though.

I'm of the belief that if you squat properly, you don't have enough gas left to do another pressing movement. I keep squats and leg press's seperate.

back in my squatting days I would agree with this...if not only for the leg stamina but overall body stamina, squats kicked my ass in a "Whole body" way....I can leg press and my quads will burn but I can still do a full workout after...when squatting sometimes I would just walk out of the gym after a few 20 reps sets of squats (well, hobble, not walk).

what are the weights and reps you guys are doin to do just squats and thats it? here is what i do.
squats
135lbs 20 times
225lbs 12 times
315lbs 12 times
455lbs 8 times
455lbs 8 times (sometimes less)
cybex leg press/1 leg extensions
490lbs 12-20 times/80lbs 12 times
580lbs 12 times/90lbs as many as i can do not more than 12 usally around 8-10
580lbs 12 times/same as above
oopps i do 5-6 sets standing calfs first usally a drop set at the end.
of coarse all this changes from day to day but that is close to normal for me, any suggestions. other than im gonna try leg press first!

way back in my squat days I would hit over 250-300 for the 20 rep sets...I never went real high in weight, I liked longer sets....
