There is nothing more satisfying than...

...a good leg workout (thought I was gonna say someting about a woman, huh )....I can do upper body all day and it is just never the same feeling. I hit leg press, stiff deads, calf raises, leg curls, adduction and abduction and my legs felt about ready to bust....I love it

How about sitting at your desk at work all day the next couple of days. That sucks, especially when I have to keep getting up to go to the printer. I used to live on the fourth floor of an apartment building and a few times I didn't think I was going to make it up to my room.

This thread reminds me I've been slackin when it comes to legs. They just take so much out of me. How much do you guys do on any one given leg day?

i usually do 2 sets for quads, 2 sets for hams, one for calves and then add and abducition...all to failure...with some intensity variables thrown in with at least 2 of the sets.

Hmm...I've never focused much on adduction and abduction. It makes sense to throw that into legs because you're supposed to use your hips when you squat anyway. I've tried splitting up quads and hams, but I don't see how I could so squats and deadlifts in the same week. It's just not going to happen. Would it be effective to switch between squats and say ham curls one week and then SLDs and quad extensions or leg presses the next? I haven't tried two sets for quads and two sets for hams yet though.

I just go by how I feel. sometimes after my set of leg press I can't do shit, so I will just do ab and ad duction with calves thrown in. but like this morning. I did my leg press (450 for 15 reps, 1:30 Time under tension)...then hit smith machine one leg lunges, then went to stiff deads, then calves, then ad/ab duction...I felt awesome. i did have a twinge in my left adductor from the leg press (didn't warm up well enough). but it didn't affect the workout and should be fine for the next one.
