Ok, UPS hired me, i will be unloading/loading boxes into a truck Mon-Fri from 5pm-11pm. I start tis Monday. I have friends that work there and their like its a killer workout and ur gonna be sore everyday. I also bust my ass at the gym and i am sore from that also. All my friends said its impossible to lift and than work at UPS and lift for straight 4-5 hours. I need help on how i am gonna regain strength post-workout and lift boxes. I end my workouts around 1-1:30pm. thanks.

Ya man i was thinking about that, but when u hit the gym after those few weeks ur gonna be sore right back again. Thing wit me is i stay sore for a while. Ex- when i hit chest i will be sore for about 4-5 days. But ya diff gonna up the food intake, especially carbs and protein.

are they heavy? or is it just a lot of volume of boxes? I used to work at a Faire and I loaded 300-400 boxes of food on thursdays and then about 150 Kegs of beer on fridays...I felt like I was in the strong man competition. I didn't need the gym then. I could lift a keg like it was nothing after so many. I would love a job like that again.

The boxes will vary in weight, size, shape, etc... The heavest you're supposed to lift will be 70lbs by yourself. After 70lbs you have to get assistant. All my friends that have worked there (some still work there) are like that enough is a workout. But i still wanna lift at the gym to get BIG.

You could try taking a nap before work, dont substitute it for a full nights sleep and dont sleep more than an hour though.

O gee whiz brother. I work in the coal mine 6, sometimes 7 days a week. I am in coal rite now that is under 5 feet high. I am always moving, carrying, heavy cables, and tools all bent over or on my knees and I lift heavy, there are days I dont feel like lifting but I do it anyhow. I got rocked by a rock the other day that smashed me to the ground. Thought I was hurt but I shook it off and when I got home it was deadlift day. You b ok big guy. Just gotta keep goin. its tough sometimes.

I worked the same job at UPS for a while and I can tell you that getting your diet and sleep schedule in order will be the bigger challenge. You might be worn out the first few weeks but u'll get used to it. Good luck...
