quick training question

I'm not sure if this question was addressed yet and I'm sorry if it has.My question is I'm trying to build additional mass in my arm.My question is do I need to work the rest of my body to build my arms up or can I just do tricep/bicep workouts twice a week and skip chest, back, legs workouts? I have heard that arms can resist growth if you don't build the rest of the body in proportion to it.Any help would be appreciated.

Well, the simple answer is yes they will grow without training the rest of your body. But they would grow much better if you trained you whole body. The body likes to be balanced.

My question is why would you want too?

I was just curious cuase I read from alot of places that you can't train only certain muscles that you need to train them all so that they can grow.I don't plan on eliminating muscle group workouts. Thanks for your help

Ok I have another quick question.I'm looking for suggestions.I'm currently working out my Triceps on Monday , my Biceps Tuesday, Rest on Wednesday, but when I go to work my chest on Thursday I can't put up that much weight as my triceps are still sore.I do 12 sets for triceps on Monday my excercises are close grip presses, overhead extensions and rope pulldowns.Am I doing too much for triceps? I also work my back on friday.

So you want to have big arms(like most guys do)and not a good chest, delts, back, legs, quads, etc...

You need to train the whole body...Most guys train only arms and chest...Most of them have no back or legs and look like shit...You need to be balanced.

Try and train every muscle group once a week bro. Somethings aren't fun to train for some people. Doing legs even though you don't like to do them is a time for you to find out what you are all about. Suck it up and get in there and train legs!

Yeah like bouncer said, hit the shoulders, they will make your arms look bigger and thats what u are obviously looking for. I'd also try and split up back and legs. Those are two workouts that are too intense and too important to be doing on the same day IMO.

When I was "on"...I did recover within 2 days; maybe 3.

But right now, I'm still sore after 4 days...Not too much, but still tender in the area...
