I added Martial Arts to my routine
So, I'm still lifting the same, but looking to change things up. I'm going to plan a new routine because I've been on this one for about 10 weeks, maybe more like 14. I think I'm going to just change exercises and not completely overhaul the routine as I enjoy it. However, I was talking to my buddy and he suggested maybe doing some type of other activity.
I thought about it and there is a martial Arts gym in SC that I am going to join when break is over. http://www.titanfitness.com/ My question is. How do you think this will affect my weight training? I was thinking of lifting and doing the MMA training on the same day. Is that a bad idea? Thanks, The pompous ass |

I was looking at the MMA portion of the site. I don't think 2-90 minute sessions a week will hinder your lifting or muscle growth at all. Will definately be a good workout and you might add a little bit of functional strength.
I would love to start that up to. when you say that the gym is in "SC" what do you mean? The site says PA? I am in upstate South Carolina and would love to find a good MMA gym around here to get started. |

do it on different days I would say, they usually involve quite arduous warm up/fitness. You may suffer temporary strength loss but will get used to it, eat more and the your training will get back to where it was, do it and see

I use martial arts as active recovery days. If mass is your goal, I wouldnt do that, do it on your off days.
