injury help

well i made the mistake of getting into a fight not too long ago and injured my wrist in the process of kickin some guys ass. im not one to fight unless in self defense or if my friends or family are in being harassed.

in this case it in defense of friend who was being pushed around by some dick.

things escalated, i took him down. a little ground and pound came into play and with my last hit i bent my wrist really badly and possible tore a ligament.

went to the docs and he confirmed it. i cant really lift. he prescribed me some physical therapy...but i fuckin hate that shit.

you guys know of any good rehab work outs for the wrist? my doc said if i wasnt gonna go i should get a stress ball and an exercise band and do some wrist exercises with that but i figured id come here and ask for your guys' opinion.

does anybody else feel the same way about physical therapy?

should i go?

help me out, thanks.

yes you should go. you can either deal with that for a few months and be back to normal or you can be bothered by the injury for years. go to the physical therapist. you will regret it if you don't.

Should you go to physical therapy? Are you seriously asking that?

did he confirm that you TORE something or just that you are hurt? what is your injury? if its torn (completley) then surgery I think...partial tear then yes do the medical thing.

they call them doctors for a reason. Sure, they aren't ALWAYS right but this seems like a no brainer. Do the PT and remember not togo to heavy too fast. Wrist injuries can be a bitch.

wtf?
obvously PT is the correct thing to do...the PT will mostly likely help you avoid a long term problem. can you tell us a little more abou the injury. what ligament and severity?
