If it gives you problems, don't do it. You don't need to actually, bent over rows, T Bar, even seated cable all work the lower back as well as hypers

No I wasn't thats the thing. I did the same weight the week before and was perfectly fine. I must have just slightly moved the wrong way.

I did the same to an old injury also. 2 weeks ago I was pulling 455 and on my 3rd rep I felt a pop. Almost like when you crack your knuckles. I put the weight down and walked out the gym. I could barley get in my car. Weird thing is it healed very quickly. I felt almost 100% after about a week and a half. I'm going to start deads again next week but not going too heavy to start.

That's it! It was in my lower right. Man oh man does it take your breath away. I really thought I was going to be hurting for months after it first happened. I'm glad it wasn't that serious.

I haven't done deads since I stopped lifting for mass. The risk doesn't outweigh the reward for me.

Those are the worst - I have walked out of the gym bent over at the waist hollering at the manager to put my stuff I left behind in his office until I could make it back to pick it up - sh*t sucks ![]() |
