It's a great workout, and why not go to a local sports store. It's only a punching bag. I'd say Everlast is the best, they're pretty durable.

Bro, check out RINGSIDE.COM they got the best equipment hands down. All the top boxing gyms i've trained at over the years all carried ringside gear.

Hell yea do you have ring exp? I'd rather hit the bag with some tunes than run 6 miles any day. Most sports stores have bags the heavier the better. Get some 16 ounce gloves and some wraps. 6 x 3 min rounds with a 1 min break for starters.

I don't know if Everlast makes a water filled bag. Don't buy a heavy bag unless it's water filled. Much easier on the hands and wrists, and lasts longer. You can't get a better cardio workout. Go 5 rounds, 3 minutes on and one minute off, and really get to it, after benches or shoulders, and if your not on your ass by the third round, your not going hard enough. BB

BB that's the beauty of it bro heavy bags are suppose to str-n the wrist and hands (among other thangs). All ya need is some good wraps 16 ounce gloves and you're there. Keep it simple, jabs and str-8 rights till yall can hook but don't reach all the way down to Mississippi to throw a hook. That's how you fuck your shit up

Honestly, I never use any kinds of gloves. Even when I did, I used speed bag gloves. Sure my knuckles got cut up at first but I kind of liked it. Now it's just like nothin'. Just walk it off dammit. Your hands WILL get used to it.

I have a water filled one, it is a lot softer than the really heavy bags so there is less chance you will jam a wrist. I like it.

I got one in my basement. I do about 30mins 2x a week. Like stated above, think of it as rounds. do a 2 minute round of left jabs, 1 minute rest, 2 mins of right jabs, 1 minute rest, 2 mins of left-right combos, 1 minute rest etc.

you wont be able to lift up arms to turn off light after 30 mins of that.

i hate my waterfilled bag : ( it takes up too much floorspace and i hate how it moves around. i wish i'd gotten a real bag, i just didn't have anywhere to hang it at the time. next time definitely! a hanging bag and a speedbag going into my home gym!

I'd love to have one! I love kickboxing!

One of the thrift stores had a man shaped one on a stand... was in there for weeks with some astronomical price on it... kept waiting for them to knock the price down.... then it was gone. Wish I woulda snagged it up while they had it.

Great way to dump all your agressions too!

Working a bag would not be considered cardio. It is considered anaerobic. It is a great workout and would be great at burning calories. Plus you get a great arm and waist workout.

Peace

TT
