Sodium loading started yesterday. Deli meat at all 3 solid meals yesterday, today and tomorrow. 2 gallons of water today through Wednesday...I already feel like a blimp. Carb depletion started yesterday, and carb up starts Wednesday night, so can't wait for that!!

If it makes ya feel any better...I'm bloated and feeling like a blimp too. Spent the entire day up and down on the ladder painting the family room and it's been 2 hrs. since I stopped and I still have marks in my legs from where the ladder was pressing. This morning when I woke up I had wrinkled sheet marks all over my face...good thing hubby was still asleep...I was lookin damn ugly, complete with a bag under my eye...just one eye...go figure! LOL

Well, although my back teeth are floating, I'm starting to come around. Carb up starts tonight at my last meal...YUM! I have a few more striations in my quads, and mid section is starting to look really tight. My upper back is looking tore up. I'm starting to get excited...and a little nervous. I'm more nervous about posing correctly than anything. I've been packing all week, little by little. My red (what else?) warm up came today from Otomix, and I've been to Wal Mart and Targe' for various items. I used some salt scrub last night to exfoliate, and waxed my arms. I'm going to Mystic one more time tomorrow, and then it's off to MS on Friday.

Get this. This honestly made me laugh. This diet guy who helped sonis w/ his diet last year, is such a schmuck. He's the type of guy who will mind fuck you to get you motivated. Or, he'll tell you your BF is higher than it actually is. Well, he's training a gal for the same shows that I'm doing. He calls my hubby a couple weeks ago saying he wants to see me because HE'S bringing down the overall winner. Whatever. I never went over there,but saw him at the gym later that week. Well, I guess he figured she couldn't beat me because then he starts hinting that he's going to bring another gal he's training down to the show as well. (She won the Overall @ the Beverly Int. show in March) He was training her for the Junior Nationals this past weekend!!! And get this- SHE GOT 6TH!!

Let me see if I understand this correctly- you get 6th at Jr's, and the next week you're going to go do an almost all novice show that's not even a qualifier?? WTF? In BBing, I thought you were supposed to move forward, not backward. This guy is a liar, and a prick. It's almost as if he has to bring her because he has to have someone beat me....which then goes back to him wanting to show my husband that he has better competitors or does diets better; something. This guy is a snake like that. She'll be in my weight class. She may not, depending on how much water I lose. Sorry, I just had to vent. This sport is supposed to have commeraderie, but all he's doing is creating conflict, and I won't have any part of his head games. I hope I beat her not because I'm better, but so he'll shut up. I don't think I can, but she has these OBNOXIOUS fake boobs....let me see if I can get a link.

Wow. Thanks for putting into perspective, SG. He got evicted from my brain yesterday. And you're right- he is a snake. The girl had no idea there was a show this weekend until he talked her into doing it...this past Monday! She is just his puppet for his backstabbing tactics. I wish the women could not be so catty. BUT, that's how we are LOL.

I've got some striations in my quads and back as of yesterday. My midsection is looking real tight as well. I'm getting super anxious to cut the water and put some tan on! I will have decent idea of how I will look in the AM. Diuretic may be needed, it just depends. I'm the type who holds a lot of water, so it's probable. I can only imagine how dialed in I will be for my goal show!! thanks again, and I'll be in with pics and an update of how it went Sunday night!

Well, ladies and gents, the results are in:

There were 5 LW, 2 MW, and 2 HW. Weight: 130.5 (Found out our scale is 5 lbs light!!!)

I got 2nd place. Only thing, there were only 2 of us in the class. the other girl being the girl I had previously posted about who did Jr Nat's last weekend. She won the overall as well. Honestly though, the only part that was better, were her shoulders, and she had a bit more depth and detail in her back.. I would have much rather had at least one more girl in the class. It's difficult when it's your first show and you're going up against a national level competitor (which I later found out has won now 3 overalls, did Jr. Nat's, is doing the N. American, and Nationals later this year..) In the prejudge, the head judge looked at us both and complimented us on what a great group (2) LOL! we were. So in retrospect, if I was able to hang with a national level competitor for my first show, that's excellent showing on my part.


On the flip side of this, had she not shown up and I would have been the only one in the class, I probably would have won the Overall. Not being cocky or tooting my own horn, but 90% of the people there have never competed before, and I just happened to be the better one at this show. That being said, if I would have won, that means I would have never been able to do a Novice division again...I would have wasted it on my "warm up show"...not even being able to compete in the Novice at my own state show! LOL!

We got my water depletion and carb up NAILED, It worked like a charm. We were so close on my water, I spilled as soon as we were finished at the buffet! I was tight the whole day, and IMHO, I think I was a touch tighter at night. I think my overall leanness was good for my first show....and it's only gonna get better from here. Abs were tight, quads were smokin, and my ass wasn't jiggly or anything. The only thing I could have done was pump up a little more..It was really hard to decide how much time I was going to have in the morning.

There were 4 national judges at the show, so after the 2nd comp meeting, I went down to the judges to ask them to critique what I need to work on. I gave my number to one of the judges and the head judge singled me out, and said "You didn't give my your number to critique, but I want it anyway." I told him another judge had my number, but he still insisted. So, after the night show, I approached him to get his thoughts. He told me I need better shoulders, which I knew, (front and side) and to stop squatting so deep and heavy!! He told me to start doing lunges, hacks, etc. He said the JLo was making my shoulders look more narrow....great point. Then I said "If I got 2nd to a girl who did Jr. Nat's last weekend, I'm ok with it." In an annoyed sort of way said all of the judges knew she did the show...Hmmm.. He said I have very good genetics and great lines, and feels I have National potential . Then I told him it was my first contest, and he said "WHAT??? This is your 1st show???? Then honey, all you need is time!!!!" That was the biggest compliment I could have asked for. For a National judge to not know it was my first show and say those things was AWESOME. Hearing that was worth the whole experience.

My routine went really well. I think I rushed through it a bit. I started hamming it up a little the more comfortable I got.During prejudge my husband only had to correct me a couple of times, otherwise mandatories went well.

So, I have eaten my face off for the past day, and my belly is soooo full. Back on the diet tomorrow. We developed our pics, and they are so terrible. They should be up on the web here tomorrow, so I'll post the link when they go up. Thanks again everyone for all of your support.

That's awesome. I knew you were gonna do good. I still think you're doubting yourself a little bit, but I think hearing it from the judge has finally got you seeing yourself in a different picture. Everything seemed to have just fell right into place on this one. I imagine the next one is going to really break the ice for ya. The trial and error part is over and no doubt you'll be on hit for the next show.
