Here;s what my stretchmarks look like close up
Hello, please be honest girls. Here they are 5 months later. They have gotten a lot better and maybe in a year they will even look better. A tummy tuck to get rid of them is $7500. Would you all be considering it? I'm still gonna wait a year, but wanted to see onpinions. Please be honest... I really want to hear honest opinions... thank you

Well, I'm known for my honesty, so here goes.
While they are noticeable up close, I have seen MUCH MUCH worse on women post pregnancy. I have seen some that are deep and purple...which obviously these are not....If it weren't for the loose skin around them, I would be pressed to distinguish them. You can really barely see them. If they have gotten better over the past few months, then there is a chance they will continue to get better over the next year. You're out of bathing suit season, so you have the winter to see how it will do. Most importantly- what is so horrible about them? How do they make you feel? I have stretch marks on my boobs, and my booty from loosing and gaining weight. If all you're worried about is how you will look in a swimsuit, there are plentyof suits that will cover that. And over time, the skin will tighten and they will be less visible. Try some Mederma on them daily. The loose skin will just take time to tighten up. Based on how you looked prior, there is a good chance you may not even need the surgery.

Dreamgirl, I think you have made a great deal of progress already just by looking at your pics in the pics section. So that tells me you have the discipline. Just stay on a strict good lean diet and stick with your routine. They will go away, but it does take time. But yours are nothing. I have seen some women's stretch marks that go all the way up to there ribcage. What you have will always been there somewhat, but as time goes on the harder and harder it will be to see them. A good tan can hide them to. Not to dark though. Just the right color. If you still see them next summer then do not get to dark. But I honestly wouldn't worry about it. You have a very attractive physique and face so it will take away from little flaws like that. But if I was to see you walking on the beach like that it wouldn't change anything in my mind about your beauty.
Its funny because us guys love seeing them, sometimes. It means growth for us. My chest, delts, upper lats have some stretch marks. We get so excited to see those. Bacon strips and worms is what we call them on us. Don't let that get to you in any way, in time they will go away tremendously. |

I am not racist by no means. I dont know how bringing this up may help my rep but here goes anyway. I work in a business where I deal with people with very bad credit and I finance cars to them. I do get a good amount of black females. What is weird is these girls dont care at all about their stretch marks. Most of the time 85% they wear shirts exposing their bellies showing lots and lot of strectch marks. I guess thats their style.
I hope no one takes this as a racist post, I am just tellin' the trutch of what I see. I am actually the most non racial person in the world. I am stressing it so much because I know people can be hard to interupt on the internet. But knowing the black men down here like I do, they don' t care about that kind of thing. Just letting you know. |

Sweetie I wouldn't fret just yet. It's only been 5 months. Stretch marks fade over time. They are barely noticeable and I don't think surgery is worth the money. Give it some time.

I know I'm in the wrong form but here it goes anyway. DG you look great, over time they will shrink up as the skin tightens. So I wouldn't worry to much about it. Besides if you put a little color on your skin no one will ever notice it, they will be to astounded by your beauty. I mean no disrespect and hope I didn't offend you in any way as I said before you look great.

thank you all for your opinion. you are all in aggreeance with my husband, he tells me the same thing, but it's hard for me to believe him becuase I know he could say things just to make me feel better.
Redsquirrel, thanks for your opinion because you are a woman and we are the most critical of each other... I do appreciate your thoughts. I'm hoping that they do get better and I am hoping that my skin will tighten up a bit. I'll post again in 5-6 more months to show a difference. |

Stonecold, I hope you know what I am saying. My post was meant to say that some women just dont care no matter what someone thinks. Even though dreamgirl cares and thats not her style, I just wanted to share that.
To be honest, I have thought it was a little sexy on some women myself. So bro, please dont think that post was negative in any kind of way. You probably don't but once again you cant see my facial expressions nor the tone of my voice when I say stuff in my posts because it is the internet and a lot of people read things the wrong way. So I actually think you know what I am saying. Peace |

DG, they're fine. As we age, all kinds of things happen to our bodies and it's just a natural part of life. You can either learn to accept certain things or you can feel misserable about them, it's your choice.
You are actually very lucky with the few stretch marks that you have. Your husband doesn't think any less of you because you have a few little scars on your belly. If you're worried about what other people will think of you in public, then just wear clothes that hide them. If in time the stretch marks still bother you and you can't get over it, then get a tuck, that's what plastic surgery is for, to make you feel better about yourself. My stomach is so badly covered in stretch marks they go above my navel. They have faded and are actually lighter than the rest of my skin now. I call it my zebra belly. LOL I've got a lot of loose skin so when I get my tummy tuck they will have to give me a new belly button. After surgery I'll still have some stretch marks but they will be much lower and well below my navel (probably kind of what you have now) and that will make me very happy. Until that day comes, I just wear clothes that hide them and when I'm naked with my husband I'm not worried about how they look, I know that it's not my belly he's focussing on at the time. I'm also a huge fan of sexy lingerie, there's a lot of stuff I can wear in bed that hides what I don't like. My favorite is a black corsett. I'll put that on, sometimes with stockings and heels and just have a good time without worrying about the belly.

DG I say they belly looks great I wouldn't ask you to change it if you were with me, They are not bad at all I have seen worst. I say wait a year or too and if they haven't faded at all they make a choice as to what you want to do. But for right now say your belly is looking goooood
