Unhappy I could use a little motivation!

I don't know if many of you remember my name from a while ago, but I'm doing the NPC fitness comp July 11th, and although I was on SUCH a role last year and over the summer, I've lost some motivation lately. My classes and workload is out of control, leaving me no time/energy to work out like I used to. I haven't been on the board recently, but reading through a couple of posts really makes me want to go work out right now I need to get on track, I WILL do the competition, I have all my shoes, music, etc. I just need a little jumpstart. Any advice for busy schedules and getting back on track?

PS. I have gained weight ON PURPOSE- I needed a little size and lots of strenght and I have been able to accomplish that, but, I need to lose a little so my cutting cycle isn't death.

I remember you! Sounds like you are starting to get yourself in the right frame of mind. What you need to remember is why you are doing all of this! Taking all the classes to educate yourself so that you are able to get a well paying job and afford the finer things in life! JUSTIFICATION FOR EDUCATION! It will eventually end and you will bask in the glory!

As for working out and staying healthy! Look around you and see the fat slobs that can't walk a flight of stairs! Think of all the compliments you receive about your body because you eat right and work out! Think of how good it feels to look in the mirror and see someone in shape with a body your friends would die for!

I'm not sure if you have taken any breaks yet from your routine; if you havn't taken a week off in the last couple months, you should do that. Taking a week of is not only for the physical element of getting ready, it's also helps the phsycological element. You still have quite a while before the show. You don't want to get burnt out late in the game. Take the week off and try your best not to worry to much about missing workouts. If you set the goal to start, that you will be taking a week off, it will also relieve alot of day to day stress of constatnly thinking about if you're going to make it to the gym. Just remeber that you are helping your total body during that period, not just the physical.

Good to see you here. We haven't met on this board yet, so howdy!

are you getting to the gym & eating well? Are you hard on yourself because you are not gung-ho like you were when you were getting ready for a show?
