oatmeal or rice ?

Recentley, I've been sick of oatmeal so, I have been eating a 1/2 cup of brown rice with my eggs in the morning with a teaspoon of flax oil instead. I'm trying to lean out and lose bodyfat. Should I stick with the oatmeal, does it matter?

Nah, it doesn't matter as long as its not instant rice. When it comes down to it, the number and quality of the carbs is really all that matters.

I've never seen instant brow rice but if it's like white, it's overprocessed and will loose it's nutrients and likely have higher carbs.

Brown rice, oats, and sweet potatos are all very good choices for your carbs.

Instant rice will absorb too quickly into your system causing an insulin spike and potentially fat storage.

Thank You, I always use to use the rice that takes 45min- 1hr to make and cook a whole batch. Then I found the instant and thought ok, a little quicker, and I do know better, I guess I just needed to hear it. There are no shortcuts anywhere. THanx again.
