Wife's weightloss

First off I am really proud of my wife. She used the L.A. weightloss program and lost 70 pounds in just under a year. The dedication she has is impressive. Plus she did it for her self.

Sadly she is still losing weight even starting the stbilization part of the program. I am really worrying about her because she is under weight for her height and is still losing. She only works out twice a week and that is either light weight training or cardio. We are really worried about this and I don't know what I can do to help her out.

Any suggestions?

I'm not really sure. the L.A. Program is based on a certain number of proteins, starches, vegatables, and fruits.

I want to say that she needs to up her protein and carb intake enough to keep her from losing anymore weight. I also think she should incorporate some more lifting.

Scrumhalf will become famous soon enough
Did you calculate her BMF and make sure she is getting enough calories? After all, if she is taking in enough calories, she shouldn't lose weight unless she has some other illness in the background that is causing the weight loss.

Based on the rpogram, she should be getting in enough cals. I guess I am going to have to calculate her MR and try and get her cals up.

Has your wife said that she does not want to lose any more weight? I hope she hasn't developed anorexia or something similar.

Actually a friend of mine who was not fat at all went to LA Weight Loss. After she told me the minimal amount of calories she was eating, I became extremly alarmed. She worked out regularly and they still only had her eating 1200 cals/day. She lost 5 lbs and her body just wouldn't lose anymore

So, in answer to your question, it sounds to me like she does need to eat a bit more calories. Make sure you teach her the right eating habits and suggest lots of greens, lean proteins and complex carbs.

I talked to her this weekend and one of her problems is the amount of food she has to eat because it is all clean foods. I am trying to get her to go to the gym with me so she can lift. Hopefully everything will go good.

thanks for the info ladies
