A Hello and a question
Hi Ladies,
I'm new to this forum. Wanted to ask you how you get through the hungry tymes? Say you had your planned meal and 30 min later you're hungry again, how do you kill the craving/ hunger (drinking more water just doesn't do it for me sometimes). It always happends to me, I do well for 3 days and then on then it goes down the hill. Thanks |

Welcome to SM! I don't know how much help I'll be for this as water or gatorade seems to ease hunger pangs for me, how far apart do you have your meals? Are you eating 5-6 times a day or just a basic 3? If I get absolutely too hungry to wait I snack on jello

crystal light, sugar free jello, fat free pudding mixed with protein, all the green veggies your heart desires, handful of peanuts, or almonds...if you eat well 90% of the time and have 1-2 cheat MEALS per week, or even a cheat snack...it will make it easier to get through the cravings...usually if you wait about 10 minutes from the time of the craving on-set, some times the craving will subside.

If I eat every 2-3 hrs. I usually don't get hungry but if I'm geniunely hungry, I'll usually just have some protein (some chicken strips, a can of salmon, etc.). If it's a craving for something that's not good for me I usually just talk myself into not having it by reminding myself of my goals...looking in the mirror naked helps too. LOL If it's something I have in the house I'll take a looki at the nutrition label and remind myself how bad all the carbs and fat are gonna be to work off. Try to think of food as simply a fuel for your body and not something to really enjoy except for your cheat meals...holding out makes the cheat meals even more enjoyable.

Yep, we eat for fuel to build muscle and lose fat, NOT for the taste, by any means...
What also works for me is if I take a big handful of rolly fat around my midsection, and squeeze that usually keeps me out of the kitchen!!
