As a Canadian, I can tell you this is sad but pretty close to true. My wife hurt herself (ankle) at work mid-may, and wasn't able to get an MRI to see exactly what the damage was until mid-November. Of course she was back to work with modifications within about a week, working in an ankle brace, and gradually healing and rehabbing herself along the way. Confirmed a total ligament tear along with high ankle sprain. Thanks for nothing, OHIP It was bad enough before Covid, but now with the backlog, imaging and non-life threatening surgery wait times are a nightmare.
