  • Monday NBA Picks

1-1 on my last NBA post; -$10

    Tonites picks are:

    San Antonio Spurs -11.5
The Spurs are beginning to display the championship caliber team they were last season. They bitch slapped the Suns on Saturday and man-handled the Pistons last Thursday. They have won and covered their last 7 at home. The Cavs were lucky to escape from an embarrasing defeat to the injury plagued Nets on Saturday. They have failed to cover their last 5 games and once again will be without McInnis for tonight's game. The Spurs are 8-3 ATS as home favorites of 8.5 to 12 points. The Cavs beat the Spurs 89-87 on 2/20. I expect the Spurs to tell them "who's your daddy" if they come to play like they did last Saturday.

    Washington Wizards/Phoenix Suns under 200.5
This will be the Wizards last game of a 5 game road trip. This will also be their 2nd of back to backs and their 3rd in 4 nights. Arenas was on the floor for 44 minutes last night and PG Blake is out for the Wizards. The Wizards have averaged 86.2 points in their last 5 games and I expect that to drop slightly tonight. The Suns have averaged 99 points in theur last 5 games. 95.6 at home and 93.9 for the season. Note that the Suns did not play with a true point guard and Center against the Spurs blowout game Saturday. Eisley and Barbosa was out. So was Jahidi White and Voskuhl. The Suns were playing with 8 men on the bench. Don't know how many of those will return tonight if any. But I don't expect either one of these teams to reach the 100 point mark.
