Got my shit pushed in last nite.
1-5 on the nite. loss of $345
running total of a loss of -$85
todays picks are:
Houston -1.5 -110
I have to continue to ride the Rocket, as he has been simply MONEY so far this year....He has been Dominating Everyone!...Today I dont see any reason why this dominance should not continue...Pitt's Well is coming off of Two losses at home, and one of them were to this same Houston squad....Ok, I am going to keep this simple......In the Rockets 3 starts at home this year, their opponents were ALL held to just 1 run each, while the Astros Offense backed their ACE by producing a total of 22 runs in those 3 games.....Today will be Deja Vu for all who rode the Rocket Ship all year long
Colorado +101
I like the Rockies to bounce back today behind the very solid pitching of Kennedy....The Rockies are 4-1 this year, when Kennedy has taken the mound.....and I expect that the Rockies bats will come to support him again.....As for the Expos, that offensive output they shockingly produced yesterday wont be so easy to duplicate today against Kennedy, as he is another Lefty......And this year, the Expos have been simply struggling at the plate vs LHP's....Their hitting average on the year vs LHP's is a dismal .192.....Sorry Wells, pitching may keep you in a game, but hitting and scoring is what you need to win the game.....Today the advantage lies with Colorado who will have the better Pitcher and a better offense, and that should result in a Rockie win today
Atlanta -101
I had the Braves capped to win last night, but their injuries to key players made me back off......Well, today I am all over them in this one......Wright has been pitching very solid so far, and his stats vs some very good hitting teams shows it.....He has had only one bad outing so far this year, which was also occurred in a road game....Still, he did respond back with a strong outing at SF, in the following game.....in his last 2 starts this year at home, he has only given up 4 hits, 3 ER's, 10 K's, 2 walks, and 1 HR, in 12 innings....He also posted these strong outings and wins vs the Leagues two top teams at the time, in the Cubs and Marlins.....Well's is also coming off of two solid outings, but he is now in the Braves House where they are 7-3 so far this year.....Plus, he is a Lefty, and the Braves have been smacking lefties pretty good posting a hitting average of over .300 vs all LHP they have faced so far
CWS +102
Balt is struggling at the plate vs LHP's this year, average hitting just .217 vs them.....Ponson has struggled in his last outting, and having to face this lineup of the Sox who are on a 15 game streak where they have hit a HR, is not a good thing......Buehrle for the WS, got a solid win in his last start where he took on last years Cy Young Winner Halladay.....In this game, Buehrle only gave up in 6 innings, 6 hits, 2 runs, 8K's, and just 1 walk.....Ponson in his last two loses, got rocked giving up 19 hits, 16 runs, 5 K's, 4 walks, all in just 8.3 innings...WoW!.....The WS have also won 4 of the last 5 games that Buehrle have started
Texas -139
The Rangers blew it last night, but I feel that they will be able to bounce back behind the solid pitching of Drese, now that the Korean Kream Puff failed to get it done.....Waechter have been decent so far this year, but in his last two starts he gave up 3 HR's.....This is not good vs this Ranger team that is best in the league at the plate......Texas also have been drilling RHP's at home this year, average hitting .357 vs them.....TB on the road have only averaged to hitting .231 vs all RHP's....Texas will have the edge in this one as they have the better starter and better closers to grab the win this time
Philly -135
Millwood last start and lost was against this Card team.....In that one, he pitched very well going 7 innings, giving up just 7 hits, only 1 ER, and just 1 walk.....Still though, even with this solid performance, the Phillies lost by one run......Today, I expect he will be wanting to get back that win, and will do it by again controlling the bats of the Cards like he did in their last game....Philly behing another solid outing by Millwood, should be able to again dominate St Louis like they have been doing in the past 13 games between the two....I like Philly at home today, to this time not fall short at getting the victory
