  • Thursday Baseball Picks

5-4 last nite with 2 rainouts. 2 of my losses were from two of arguably the best pitchers in the league (prior, schmidt)

lost $85.00 on the day and running total profit is down to a positive $380.00

    todays plays are:

    Detroit Tigers +$115.00
The Tigers are 7-3 as home dogs of +$100.00 to +$125.00. The Braves are 2-3 as road favorites of -$125.00 to -$150.00. The Braves are 2-5 against lefties on the road.

Atlanta Braves / Detroit Tigers under 9 runs -$135.00
Keep taking this until it stops. 7 of 8 have gone under

San Diego Padres / Boston Red Sox over 8.5 runs +$105.00
The O/U is 17-10 when at Boston. When you get a total this low for a plus profit, you gotta take it and run. 2 other factors come into play. The addition of Garciaparra will ad more punch to the Boston lineup and Schilling's ankle injury which might hamper his talents.

Colorado Rockies / NY Yankess over 10.5 runs -$125.00
Contreras has his problems at home. For some reason he crumbles in Yankee Stadium. his ERA is 7.05 at home. He has averaged just 3.8 innings per start. Brown's early exit yesterday was no good news to the bullpen. Yankees might have to go to the pen early and often. This will be a slugfest. Jennings will give his share of runs as evident to his 6.23 ERA on the road.

LA Dodgers / Toronto Blue Jays under 9 runs +$105.00
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. 6 of 6 have gone under. The Jays O/U record at home is 9-20.

Philadelphia Phillies / Chicago White Sox over 9.5 runs -$145.00
These two teams are scoring at will. No reason why not to keep riding it.

    Arizona D'Backs / Baltimore Orioles over 10 runs -$125.00
The Orioles O/U at home is 20-8. Arizona O/U record is 34-23. Add two pitchers with hefty records and we have an over 10 by the 8th. 10 of last 12 have gone over for Arizona. Keep riding the hot trend.

    Chicago Cubs -$180.00
I guess that kick in the ass felt good yesterday.
