from mista flava:
Indiana Hoosiers-Northwestern Wildcats 'Over' 58
This total is on the rise BIG TIME and I don't blame whoever is laying the cash. The average points four years between these two has been 76.8 points per game. Which dumbass made the total this low? Shootout USA is about to begin so play it now!
The Indiana Hoosiers are 2-3 to start the season which is an inch better than 2003. QB Matt Lovecchio has passed for almost 800 yards this season with 6 TD's. He is up against a Northwestern defense that allows 275.4 yards passing per game. He averages 7.1 yards per pass attempt, while the Cats allow a whopping 7.4. The Hoosiers brought back 10 starters on this offense and I like the work of the offensive linemen. This is not the best running team around but they do average 148.2 yards rushing per game. Northwestern hasn't really had anyone try to run all over them since it's so easy to beat them through the air. I look for Lovecchio to have his best game of the season.
The Northwestern Wildcats are coming off an incredible 33-27 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes. Why stop there? They are also 2-3 this year but could easily be 4-1. QB Brett Basanez has passed for an incredible 1332 yards this year and 7 TD's. Let me remind all of you that the Indiana defense is ranked 132nd in the country. RB Noah Herron and company average 4.6 yards per carry and will face an Indiana defense that allows a whopping 6.2 per carry. Opposing QB's are completing 61.1% of their passes against Indiana and that's good news for Basanez who averages 41 pass attempts per game. The Hoosiers also allow a whopping 7.8 yards per pass attempt. There is a very good chance that the Wildcats hit the 60 point mark all by themselves.
