  • Saturday College Football: Northern Illinois vs. Central Florida

    From Mista Flava

    Northern Illinois Huskies -17.5

The Northern Illinois Huskies are 3-2 on the year but now have QB Josh Haldi back. In their 49-19 win over Akron last weekend, Haldi tossed 3 TD passes and looked very sharp. Does anyone else love the way RB Garrett Wolfe runs? The Huskies average 195.6 rushing yards per game and are up against a UCF defense that is very depleted and that allows 5.3 rushing yards per carry. Wolfe is going to be huge today. Haldi also has the privilege of facing a defense that allows an immense 11.0 yards per pass attempt. UCF has seen every single one of their DB's hit the injury list this year and that backfield is the worst in the country. Huskies will roll big in this one...I mean big.

This UCF team is so bent out of shape that they might as well fold for the rest of the year. They are coming off an embarrassing 48-20 loss to Buffalo of all teams and are 0-4 on the year. SS Atari Bigby (team's best player) is out for another few weeks, while CB Jason Venson is out for the year and CB Peter Sands is out because of academics. The Knights average only 295.8 total yards per game. QB Steven Moffett is a joke and has only 1 TD pass compared to 4 INT's. He is up against a Northern Illinois defense that allows quite a few yards in the air. However, the UCF O-Line allows 2.8 sacks per game while NIU's defense averages nearly 3.0 sacks per game. The Knights average only 3.1 yards per carry on the ground, while NIU allows only 3.7 yards per carry. It's going to be a very long day for the Golden Knights. Fade them the rest of the year.
