    Marquette -18
Simply put, as long as Crean has his boys ready they will wipe the floor with Western Carolina. Diener and Novak are back as the offensively talented 1-2 punch of the Golden Eagles. Novak had a tendency to disappear in the bigger games at times last year (ok, he was great against Louisville I'll give him that), but he's a year older and will hopefully know when to step up. Again, this is Western Carolina, Marquette should have no problem outclassing them. This season I look for some exciting things from swingman sophomore Dameon Mason. The kid is ultra athletic and in my opinion should end up averaging double digit points this season. Experienced size in the frontcourt is a bit of a concern for Marquette this season but again...this is Western Carolina. Seriously, they lost the best player they've had in years when Kevin Martin went in the 1st round of the NBA Draft this past June. I've seen Western Carolina predicted to finish last in the North division of the Southern conference...hehe, if Marquette can't route this squad then Tom Crean should seriously be worried about the upcoming year.
