Just to keep things in perspective:
Sidney Crosby finished the season with 66 goals and 102 assists for 168 points to win the scoring title by 54 points over teammate Dany Roussin.
Crosby is just the third player to win the scoring title by more than 50 points, joining Guy Lafleur (1970-71) and Mario Lemieux (1983-84).
Mario put up the following numbers during his last two seasons in the QMJHL:
1982-83 66 games, 84 goals, 100 assists for 184 points
1983-84 70 games, 133 goals, 149 assists, for 282 points (!!!)
I knew Mario had put up ridiculous numbers in 'the Q', but his 83-84 season defies logic.
