It seem Webb has his 2 seamer back working allowing just 2 Hrs to date. At home in 05 he has allowed just 5 runs in 21.1Innings and last year his ERA at the BOP was 2.90. Last year vs SF he had a2.95 ERA and .229BAA. Tomko is coming off an excellent CG start @ Pitt where he was realing popping the mitt and has now strung together consecutive solid starts. Tomko dominanted Arizona last year with a 3-1 record and 2.30ERA just 8runs in 31.1 Innings but we know how bad Zona was last season. At BOP he WASNT as sharp with a 3.24ERA/1.50WHIP/.308BAA in his 3 road starts but thats still decent. How was the Schimdt/Ortiz game opened at 7.5?
Under 9-125 Orioles/Jays
Halladay was filthy vs NY last time out and I expect him to want this game alittle more for 2 reasons. First the O's were the first oand only team to lay to him in 2005 and second is most of us are not mentioning Toronto and they have just taken 4 of 5 from NY and Balt on the road.....dare we say Halladay gets the sweep! Bedard has 3 excellent starts under his belt and another decent one. Its been just that Tigers start that is blemishing a breakthrough 2005 season. I still dont think Toronto is excellent vs LHP but with Hillenbrand hitting .550 vs them that certainly makes it tough. Does anyone want to revisit my conversation about trading Vernon Wells why he still has some value??
Tigers +113
I will continue to fade Boston against LHP as last nite they got the timely hit! Wakefields career numbers at Comercia are not flattering with a near 6ERA and last yera he allowed 6hrs in 5 innings there. Roberston doesnt have much to go other the he seems to pitch well vs tema that dont hit LH and poorly vs the teams that do.
Cardinals -135
Never a big fan of road chalk but to get Mulder at the same price as Marquis is a nice score IMO. I dont think Cincy matches up good vs LH and that is bucking what the early numbers say as Pena and Co have really smoked LHP early. My thing is after that loss I think Cincy will take some time to recover they were flat as could be last nite and I am sure Mulder would like some revenge and IMO has turned the corner past 3 starts.
Phillies +112
Wolf has been horrible but he usually shows up vs the Mets. I just cant see a game with a minus sign in front of it when Seo starts
