  • Monday Night Football Week 4

    2-1 yesterday
    14-7 on the year

    Tongiht:

    GREEN BAY PACKERS @ PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -12 -105 & OVER 49.5 -103
Green Bay (1-2, 1-0 away) at Philadelphia (2-1, 0-1 home) @ 8:30 PM. EST. *ESPN

    SERIES HISTORY
Green Bay has a 22-12 advantage in its all-time regular season series with Philadelphia, but has lost its last three such matchups with the Eagles. In Week 12 of last season, the Packers came into Lincoln Financial Field and were dealt a 19-14 setback. The Packers' most recent victory over the Eagles came in the 2000 season by a 6-3 count, and they have lost seven straight regular season games in the City of Brotherly Love since last winning there in 1962.

The Eagles hold a 2-0 advantage in the postseason series with the Packers, winning a 2004 NFC Divisional Playoff (20-17 in overtime) and the 1960 NFL Championship (17-13).

Reid is 4-1 against the franchise for which he served as an assistant coach from 1992 through 1998. The Packers' McCarthy will be meeting both Reid and the Eagles for the first time as a head coach.

    OVERALL ANALYSIS
The Eagles were embarrassed in their last two Monday night games, both at home, dropping a 42-0 decision to the Seahawks just weeks after blowing a late lead to lose to the hated Cowboys in what would mark McNabb's final appearance of 2005. Expect those indignities to be prominent in the minds of Reid and his team on Monday night. Philadelphia is a better football team than Green Bay on both sides of the football, needs a win to keep control of the contentious NFC East, and will never take their foot off the gas for four quarters.
