SERIES HISTORY

New York's Coughlin has a 4-3 record against Dallas as a head coach, and is 4-4 against Parcells in his career. Parcells' Patriots defeated Coughlin's Jaguars in the 1996 AFC Championship, and his Jets downed Coughlin and company in a 1998 AFC Divisional Playoff.
OVERALL ANALYSIS
The mark of a good team is one that controls the line of scrimmage, and Dallas, which is No. 1 in the league against the run and has featured one of the NFL's best runners in Julius Jones, fits that description to a tee. If Jones can keep the pressure off of Bledsoe by breaking off some big runs, Dallas should be able to move the ball on a Giants defense that has looked vulnerable at times in 2006. New York certainly won't be punchless in Dallas, as Manning should be able to make some strides against a Cowboys secondary that has taken plays off a little too often this season (see: at Philadelphia), but the Cowboys, who have looked a little sturdier on both sides of the ball, will have the final word and win by 7-14 pts
