Please don't get me wrong I am not preaching just pointing out. I too break this rule. I have an Agricultural Tractor that I run up to neighbors to do work with along a public road. Hear in Massachusetts it is not legal to do & there is no way to make it legal so you just kinda do it. Like everything nothing is a problem until it is. I was also a sand rail guy when I was younger & DId my share of running dirt bike and rails down and across public road ways. I am just being devils advocate in pointing out the risk involved

very good point timber. but like iv said. iv been riding bikes all my life. dirtbikes street bikes. i have even gone on trak daaz and taken classes the track. not to say that the accident wasnt partially my fault ( i should have been paying more attention because we all know that most ppl driving pay less attention to the road than they should be). but whatever, lesson learned.Originally posted by Timber View PostI won't go into a rant about not having a license to operate as most important is the you are OK and not hurt more than your pride. I am a professional driver & if you have seen what these eye have seen you might understand why I feel the way I do. If you are going to operate equipment on any public roadway you owe it to the public and yourself to have all the proper documents. License, Registration, Insurance, Tags. It is not just the Law but these are the things that not only protect the public but protect you, your family and what you own. You & your friend put yourselves in a position that could have cost you hundreds of thousands of $ because if the circumstances were different insurance company's would have been void of there responsibility to compensate anyone for injury or damages all over proper documentation. Because your friend gave his blessing he would have been the biggest looser in this.
just thought id let u guys know on how shitty i felt the day after. couldnt even get a good workout in cuz i was thinkin about it all effin day.

Well with the amount of money we pay for insurance I would have no problem doing it. I could see if you were catching the bike on fire or something trying to get a big check.Originally posted by Timber View PostThat is called fraud

Is it insured? Just tell them he was on it and you pay his ductable. If that is cheaper than buying all the parts.
