No no that place finally got shut down for serving minors. Personally that was why I loved it! Drunk 18yr old girls from wall to wall and $1 pitchers. All in all that place really did suck though.

I agree, west texas can be alittle boring when compared to Austin and College Station. I love West TX though. I am originally from a small town, pop 842, in East TX so this is "the big city" to me. The school is amazing. The health sciences building is one of the biggest in TX.

Do they still have that club that is half country bar and half pop/techno?

Congrats barbender....chose a specialty wisely. My father is a specialist in internal medicine, and works an insane number of hours with on-calls factored in. Be smart and chose a specialty where there's no such thing as an emergency at 3am...neurology isn't a bad choice. Dermatology or being an allergist are great specialties; you make great money while working less hours than many of the other specialties.

I don't know much about the academics there I just know it's wouldn't be my first choice personally. I have been around there. I had a friend that went to West Texas A&M, one that went to college station and a bunch that went to Austin. Out of all those Austin I absolutely loved, college station was pretty cool place and Canyon was boring itself.

I chose tech to follow in my grandfathers footsteps. He graduated from tech in 1945. He passed on while I was in junior college. Some think tech has sub par academics but I think you get out of it what you put in.

To answer DNA's ? The MCAT is an incredibly hard test. Unless you need the structure though, I wouldn't waste money on the classes. Just buy a set of prep books off the net.

I will be attending Texas Tech which is where I went for my undergrad as well. I have always wanted to study neurology but we will see. I have alot of years to get it figured out. Thanks everyone.

Ya it is a long road...i have a few friends finishin up their undergrad and their doing nothing but bitching about the MCATS, i might as well start takin MCAT prep classes now......
