I love blood baths in any movie, period. Hostel (part 1 under quentin not eli roth) had less character development of the killer and much more of just "WTF - people could actually do this??" which made it so much more superior to me. The less focus on who and why of the killer in a blood bath horror film makes me all the more interested. That being said, if you enjoyed either of those two films remotely then you will LOVE the collector.

I definitely agree with this. By the time part 2 came around, the WTF factor was gone. I still enjoyed 2 as far as horror movies go because a decent one is so few and far between, lol.

It is a blood bath, but not in the normal horror fashion. It isn't a psycho or a monster going around slashing everyone. I thought the concept was great - haven't seen any other movie with the idea.

First one is much better imo. I liked both but I wouldn't put them in this class of movie. Hostel is a blood bath, and it's a concept that anyone could cook up - I thought this idea was a step in a new direction. I mean the first 45 minutes of Hostel part 2 could've basically been skipped, the only key information is how rich the one girl is (hence the "shocking ending" - can't say I was impressed by the second).

I never enjoyed a movie more, seriously(not that it's my favorite or anything). Being alone made it a top notch experience, I would gladly go to see it again though, just my bread n butter when it comes to film. A lil of the ol ultra violence :thumup:

Atta boy, it was funny shit - I went at 3:20 and I was the only person in the theater :thumup: pitch black sitting dead center. Nobody suckin down slurrpees and cell phones n shit to get me pissed. I really would go see it again just to try to figure out some more clues to how it all works.
