  • The Sun (bouncer)

Have you seen any of the specials about the planets in the last couple of weeks? They did them one by one.

They were all pretty amazing, but the the videos they had of actual activity on the sun was beyond incredible.

They said "it takes over 200,000 years for a ray of light to escape the core of the sun and only 8 minutes for it to reach earth." Wow!

The one about the sun is not part of the series. It's actually just a program called "The Sun."

            Mar 16th @ 9pm (60 minutes)

"Explore the past, present, and future of the sun's importance to our world. Satellites and solar telescopes provide the best images of the sun ever seen on television. Discover how harnessing the sun's power helps to meet escalating energy needs."
