Wrong. Marijuana is only illegal because a powerful media mogul that owned a papermill didn't want Hemp to become the new paper.

Actually one of the times it was outlawed was when Nixon was in office. Bunch of hippies protesting. Could not get rid of them. Most smoked, so he outlawed it. Then arrested them. And it's deff not newly discovered. Been around for thousands and thousands of yrs. Some of the oldest humans found have traces of cannabinoids in their system. We were brained washed. It doesn't make u lose memory, it doesn't kill brain cells, it doesn't damage lung tissue even when smoked, hard to believe, but true. Regular smokers do have lower risk of some cancers including prostate. Show me the science of how much estrogen a joint a day raises. Again, I don't smoke, only because I don't like the feeling. But for this plant to have so many possitives and so few negatives, if any, it shouldn't be outlawed. I'll get off my rant now.

Read alot about its healing properties lately, difficult to know what to believe, what you have to remember is that if tobacco and alcohol had just beendiscovered they would be outlawed also.
