Irony..CA is such a homo state...Beast and Rocket live there
Yea you guys with long legs are so easy to triangle me...What saves me, are two things....I'm expecting it(I mean, it's a given) and I block it as I feel you breaking guard...I love playing the defense at first. Although not a good practice because the saying in bjj goes; "if you're not attacking, you're losing"
But for me, I like and has worked well for me. I don't attack right away, I will play your guard, but one thing I will make sure of...Keeping you on your back, making sure you don't get up, or half guard.
I love side control...I'm getting faster with my weight....I use to be really slow at it, then one day it all clicked! What's always worked for me and still does are Zeeks, kimura, collar choke, baseball or north south.
Always been a choke guy or via points. Very few times I've got someone in a triangle, arm bar or anything that has to do with legs because I'm short.
Choke guy here also.
I don't stay tight enough, going from mount to armbar for example. I only stay good and tight if I get a really high mount/S mountish but then I risk giving them a quick escape. FUCKKKKKK Just talking about this shit makes me miss it more.
Sucks sucks sucks.
I can't even think about BJJ. Gaining weight/size is what I need to be focused on. Hormona guy (I can't to Hormona bro weight, so "guy" will do).
Meh, I have long legs and most people think I play a good guard, but I really don't like it. I like to sweep and take mount, I was finally developing a good triangle game when I last left the school. Long legs were good for triangles, but my side control was shit and my guard wasn't too difficult for the experienced guys to break.
I Always have a problem of keeping pressure on guys when in side control/NS/ etc.
