Depression is an ugly and difficult thing for people to understand if they have never dealt with it. Very hard to discount that from his death. Seems pretty obvious to me looking back on his life that he indeed battled it for a long time. I'm sure this other condition just compounded things.

Apparently he had something called Lewy Body Dementia. Who knows if it's just the wife trying to put a name to some physical problem because she can't handle the fact that he would kill himself because of depression.

His wife revealed he was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
"Robin's sobriety was intact and he was brave as he struggled with his own battles of depression, anxiety as well as early stages of Parkinson's disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly.
"It is our hope in the wake of Robin's tragic passing, that others will find the strength to seek the care and support they need to treat whatever battles they are facing so they may feel less afraid."
