Hungary to hold referendum on mandatory EU migrant quotas on October 2 | Reuters
Basically EU regulations decided from Brussels mean that Hungary is supposed to take in a certain number of migrants.
Understandably Hungary is annoyed at having so many pumping into the country mainly for better economic reasons not refugee. Many illegal immigrants remain.
Hungary wants to throw them out and keep on holding its borders and control the numbers coming in.
They are holding a referendum on it but if they then enforce the referendum which will predictably go in favour of throwing out illegals etc, they will be breaking EU law.
