Single payer....you've got to be kidding me. Check out the VA for all you need to know about our corrupt government and single payer.

Yeah the VA is a disaster, but I wouldn't exactly call it single payer. It's just 100% govt insurance which I don't think can work in America. It seems to work pretty well in Canada though so I guess it's possible. I'm not optimistic it can work here.

I'm a small business owner and the fact that healthcare is tied to employment (at a Very Large Company) is insane. The largest corporations with huge employee rosters negotiate favorable deals -- I want to buy into the same pool as my friend who works for IBM.

The ONLY solution is to strip it all down - and everyone has to pay for their own insurance, just like auto insurance. Insurance should not be a "benefit" of employment.

In this situation the ENTIRE country becomes one giant buying pool not limited by geography or the state you live in. I think we'd still have an issue with young millennials not buying insurance which is one of the big problems with the ACA. If the young healthy people would buy plans (which are cheap for them since they are young and healthy) then the premiums for everyone would go down. These are the same people by the way who gave us Trump. They were so butthurt over Bernie Sanders that they chose not to vote at all.

There are 52 million Americans with pre-existing conditions that will be denied healthcare if the ACA disappears.
