For me it's about what I need. If I can do everything I need plus some with 25mb/s speed and get it for $50 a month than hell yeah I'm jumping on that deal.
If I wanted the absolute best I'd be looking at Google fiber. But they are only available in select areas.
Price vs value. I can stream anything I want in HD with speed to spare at $50 a month. Not debating anything, just letting you know in case you got other options.

Even if their was more options, nobody beats Verizon in regards of speed and reliability and such. So yes, they can charge that price and get away with it.
I'm still baffled that I cancelled, very unlikely move of me

My only options for providers are Verizon and Comcast, that's it. Where my residence is, that is my only 2 and I'm good with that. I've had both companies in both of my residences. I hated comcast and although Verizon is more, well they are a better provider whether or not anyone wants to admit that
It's because they were giving you like $80 in discounts because of the bundle. You need to cut them completely and get a cheaper internet provider. I pay $50 a month for high speed. They are ripping you off.
