  • Tuna on pita

    This is a basic recipe but I thought I would add it anyway.

    Ingredients

    Two cans of white tuna
    Low fat mayo
    Chopped onion 2-3 tbs
    Chopped celery 2-3 tbs
    1 tomato chopped into small chunks
    2 Whole wheat pita cut into wedge slices

    Mix everything in a bowl and then just grab a chunk of pita and spread it on. I am not a big fan of tuna and with this recipe I was able to eat two cans like nothing. The whole wheat pita is low GI and in cal and fat.

    The tomato really gives it the texture and flavor. This is just another slight variation of all the different tuna recipes. Try it out and let me know what you think.
