I had some ground beef which I didn't know what to do with... found this online.
* 2 teaspoons olive oil
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 4 garlic cloves
* 8 ounces sliced mushrooms (optional)
* 1-2 pound lean ground beef
* 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
* 1 cup liquid (beef broth, water, etc.)
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 2 tablespoons ketchup
* 1-1/2 cup (N0 Fat) sour cream
1.) Saute onion, garlic, and mushrooms (didn't use mushrooms, dont like them) in oil until onions are until soft.
2.) Add the ground beef to the same pan and brown it; drain off excess fat. Sprinkle flour over ground beef; stir to blend.
3.) Add everything else to the pan: broth or water, salt, sour cream, and ketchup.
Cook and stir until mixture is thickened.
Done.
Serve over noodles, rice, or whatever you like...
