Nope. Government has shown how well they can do healthcare. Please look at that VA, Medicare and Medicaid. Trey need to take the bullshit laws that make it impossible for insurance companies to truly compete in a free market. I should be able to buy insurance from a company in Oregon. It should t be state specific.

I have friends that have health insurance increasing from $1100 a month to $1900 a month. The ACA just fucked it up more. It was a buddy plan from the beginning. Michele's friend designing he website etc etc. some people make a lot of money at the cost of tax payers.

What's the logic to not allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines?

You should blame the states for this, not the federal government. But, do you really think that would solve the problem of skyrocketing healthcare costs?

Trump tweeting today: "The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes."

LMAO.. guy is going to sink 40 years of nuclear nonproliferation, SALT, etc.

Ripper, I may need advice on building a bunker after all.

Read this article. It is long but worth it.

http://www.vox.com/2015/6/29/8845913/russia-war

If you don't have the patience, here are some screenshots of the section in the article relating to what happened on September 26, 1983. If this doesn't scare the hell out of you, nothing will.

This is real, guys. Not video games.

Ever think his words could mean update / modernize to be smarter and safer???? no we just jump to build more nukes and destroy the earth...

Its widely known a lot of our nuke technology is old and should be up dated..lets not jump to conclusions here.. I think this pretty funny actually how it dooms day now and he isn't even in office yet..

I hear ya ripper but why not just say "update the nuclear arsenal" instead of shit like "until the world comes to its senses".

Can you honestly say those words don't sound threatening to the world?

Instead of you saying to me "I'm going to update my gun collection" you say "I'm updating my gun collection until you come to your senses"... I'm gonna think this old fag wants war!

Can you just admit for once that maybe he could have left that part out?

Just once I want to hear you say a single thing you disagree with Trump about the same way I have done with Hillary. Show me that your not a fanboy.

Not everyone presents things in a manner appropriate for everyone or every situation. I'll agree to that...at the same time I think it's fair to say some people will always strech what's said for an agenda..

A president talking about nukes and saying "until the world comes to it's senses" is just not something that should ever be said.

How would you feel as a US citizen if those words had been said by Putin or The President of China or Iran etc...

It's threatening and you know it. You wouldn't justify Iran saying it by saying "oh well maybe he didn't mean it like that or it got taken out of context." You'd say "this mother fucker wants war".

Jesus......

The news last night had a clip of Obama talking about moving forward into 2017 and how he has loved being POTUS, etc. It was nice. He speaks better when he is himself and isn't saying "ummmm" every 30 seconds. It sounded like 2007 candidate Obama.

...They then followed up with a tweet sent out by our POTUS elect....what a dumb fuck. A leader shouldn't be picking middle school fights with passive aggressive tweets. Guy is a shit show. Maybe 2020 will bring out some worthy candidates.

I may be the liberalest guy on the board, but I have no problem with a sensible Republican as President. I may not agree with all his positions but I can find common ground. Trump on the other hand simply does not have the temperament to be President. And he is filling his cabinet with the worst people. I'm genuinely worried for what is in store.

Ahahaha.. Turbo, I saved that graphic and was about to post when I saw you beat me to it!

Of all the things going on in the world, the orange galoot is most concerned about Arnold and apprentice ratings!

We deserve this idiot. The Republican voters for letting him through the primaries and for all of us for electing him. LMAO... This promises to be an entertaining 4 years.

I'm just waiting for someone to hack his Twitter account and tweet that he's pissed off about something and has sent the launch codes to the missile silos.

This is not how I pictured the world ending - with a tweet from a petulant man-child.

Don't forget the DNC bullshit that helped the situation.

Maybe Obama can just say No to moving out. We can redo next year. A mulligan.

So the Senate just voted to get repeal the ACA. They also rejected moves to cover pre-existing conditions and to let kids stay on their parents' plans until 26. Ahaha.. good lucks fellas, we are going to need it.

Buncha cowards in the Senate. Did their vote in the middle of the night because they can't look their constituents in the eye while they do it.

We need single payer. I hope Bernie is rolling up his sleeves. Throwing away the ACA is a death sentence for many. When it sinks in, there's going to be some weeping soon.

It would be a patsy job where the guy that kills him would be either staged or incited then whacked themselves. Maybe a black or a Mexican

I'd love to see a scheme that is universal healthcare without any restrictions on preexisting conditions.

There are 52 million Americans with pre-existing conditions that will be denied healthcare if the ACA disappears.

Here is the relevant data:

Pre-existing Conditions and Medical Underwriting in the Individual Insurance Market Prior to the ACA | The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation

The ACA may not be perfect but it clearly does more good than harm. Goal should be to improve on it by raising the subsidy limit or whatever. Not to throw it away without any replacement plan.

It doubled or tripled the premiums of all the families that I personally know. Extremely affordable.
