If you removed all the salt (sodium and chloride ions) from seawater, would it be safe to drink?

Thanks and you are right, Boss!

Seawater is safe to drink, except that it would make you even more thirsty, because that salt concentration is higher than your body fluid's salt concentration. It would not be safe to drink seawater (undiluted) when you are stranded at sea. Theoretically, if you remove Na and Cl ions from seawater, it would be safe to drink, and it would not make you more thirsty. Thanks!
