I would then suggest you boil and filter it... then perhaps add a little bleach... and definitely some of that Mio stuff

Thanks and you are right, Boss!

Seawater is safe to drink, except that it would make you even more thirsty, because that salt concentration is higher than your body fluid's salt concentration. It would not be safe to drink seawater (undiluted) when you are stranded at sea. Theoretically, if you remove Na and Cl ions from seawater, it would be safe to drink, and it would not make you more thirsty. Thanks!

Ah yes this is an excellent question to query a bodybuilding forum that I've oft thought of, whilst I ponder my studies with my pipe and tea in hand. But what are you going to do about all the God damn whale and fish sperm floating around in the seawater Derek?
