Why do whey protein supplements cause loose motion and gastric problems?

Lactose intolerance is the inability of adults to digest lactose, a sugar found in milk and to a lesser extent dairy products, causing side effects.

Whey protein is a by-product in cheese manufacturing process which contain quite a good amount of Lactose in it.

Whey protein naturally causes flatulency so over the time it might cause gastric upset. Always fluctuate between natural source and whey protein. To avoid this you can eat oatmeals and other fibres to help digesting protein. Since digestion of protein is the slowest so it takes time and stays in your gut system. Hence it causes bloating and flatulecy. Eat fibers as much as possible.

Yes!
Diarrhea and excess gas can indicate irritation of the bowel or illnesses such as the flu. Food allergies and sensitivities can also cause these symptoms. In some individuals, consumption of certain types of food, such as beans or broccoli, can cause excess gas. Reactions to certain sugars can also cause excess gas and diarrhea because your body is unable to digest them. This condition may also be caused by a deficiency of enzymes in the stomach that help digest lactose, or milk sugar. Known as lactose intolerance, this condition can occur with consumption of natural health supplements made from cow's milk. Thanks!
