went shopping today so took a shot while trying on shirt, this is early afternoon so not in the morning dry like before but clearer shot, difficult to compare but I'm taking better shape and just need to keep on going and harden the midsection so abs are always visible, haven't had BF checked yet

props for the clearer shot.

i really think you should keep a log of what you are eating daily because I cant help but feel that progress could be a bit faster if your diet was more in check. sometimes writing out your diet and being able to see exactly what you are eating makes you realize that it could probably be better.

how many calories are you eating daily? how many meals? how consistent are you? how consistent are you with the cardio?

The best way i can answer this is to say that I'm generally more consistent with all those factors than I have been previously. My situation is that I work full time with varying hours and, well, sometimes life gets in the way, sometimes we go out and eat and drink with other couples, or its anniversary like today and I don't hold back those days. The picture doesn't show its greatly and in fact, I have been unable to train chest properly (only flyes etc) because I have really bad tendonitis in both elbows for the first time eva so I'm not benching until its gone, can't train tri's either.

But I am getting both more shape and leaner as time passes, I feel it in the clothes i wear round the waist and ass etc and looking at myself in the mirror

Well Mr I while I see the improvement looks like life gets in the way of your diet bit to much. It's going to two months since you started this thread and you are not where you should be.

Since you always talk about your bodybuilding days, here is a reminder...diet duration for a show is 12 weeks, max 14 weeks. You are almost 8 weeks in to your diet and you do not look like where you should be eight weeks in.

So stop with the friends, parties, anniversary excuses and get with the program.

Good clear shot. A reference point moving forward. Big, thick foundation.

Shirt looks a couple sizes too small. What we call a "shmedium" lol.

so do you have a general diet plan that you are following or just sort of do what you can day by day?

do you know your portions? how much chicken, rice per meal?

how many cals a day?

you really should have some idea of the numbers of cals that you are taking in.

Your attitude and tone has completely changed since you started this thread. Looks at your posts at the start of the thread, really excited, really focused on your goals etc.. Now look at you, you cant be bothered to at least get a basic idea of the numbers to know where you are at. This is why your progress is as slow as it is.

Mr I, even the title of the thread seems a bit misleading at this point. Everyone here wants you to succeed, but we cannot do it for you. I believe you will stagnate and fade from your goals unless you find a way to accelerate things.

Get that diet under control brother, you know what to do.

Are you running a net caloric deficit with protein at 1.5g per lb of bodyweight? If you can't answer this question, you probably need to be more precise in your intake estimates.

Well even to start with at my bodyweight 1.5 g/lb bodyweight would be circa 375g protien a day which is a shit ton and I'm not prepared to put that through my kidneys.

I'm at about 300g

If I'm slowly dropping fat then I'd say I'm in calorific defecit. I've just basically cut out shit eating for the most part.

Well, you may still be eating too many clean calories. You won't know for sure unless you estimate it and keep track of it.

Use the damn thing. It takes 5 seconds. You always talk about competition and stuff, well guess what, MOST of the bodybuilders today and before weigh their food when they are getting prepared for a contest.
You would think they can also judge by visual? They can't, that's misleading. Never too late to take up something new, so just do it. It ain't gonna hurt you, in fact, it will help you with your goals.

Not to be an ass bro; but you either do it or you don't...Quite simple and it seems you've fallen off the wagon here. Posting on the thread and bla bla bla is one thing...Results is what matters.

So STFU and stop posting about shirts, jeans, fucked up lighting pics and either do what you said you were going to do, or just don't...We're not gonna hate if you don't, just pick on you that's all

It's easy to talk, but harder to follow through.

My motto in life;

"If you want something bad enough, you get it done"

Very simple rule to live by. Doesn't make you a bad or a weak person by not doing so. If you're giving it your all and this is your best, then so be it bro...you look good and of course you could look better; I mean we all do to some extent.

What's stupid is that you keep posting on here like you're all gong ho and half assing the shit.

Bro you sound high, you've got the wrong end of everything,.there's no doubt I've made progress, I can see it in person, that was my goal and I will continue until I'm at least sub 10% bodyfat. Its that simple.

No, just get some idea bro. Right now you dont know if you are eating 2000, 2500, or 3000 cals. By having a good idea of what you are eating, you will know what you need to tweak as progress slows.

if you can take the time to email palumbo and go out of your way for some stranger in the gym, you can certainly take the 20 minutes and figure where you stand with your diet.

let me also say that you are definitely making progress so as long as you are moving forward you are moving in the right direction. i dont love the vibe thats starting to build in this thread. i feel like some people are just jumping in and making negative comments because its the thing to do. if i started that trend or had anything to do with it, i apologize. that is not what i am about. i think sometimes people mistake my "tough love" attitude as just being negative or putting someone down.

Decided I'm gonna change gyms mostly, and spend more time at an ole gym with better variety of equipment and more focus on bodybuilding, trained there a few times and its more hardcore and with a separate cardio room that quite dark and relaxing so you go hardcore then chill with a 30 minute treadnmill after

Didn't you just change gyms recently? I get the feeling you are a bit of a chatty Cathy when you are in the gym. Am I wrong? Bro, having friends in the gym is a BAD thing. You are supposed to be there for YOU. Headphones on, eyes straight ahead, and fucken focus. even after you are done lifting and cardio, dont hang around and chat. because the next day those same people will be there and guess what, now its conversation time during the workout!

the place you train is not the problem, its you and what you do while you are there.

Headphones on, eyes straight ahead, and fucken focus. even after you are done lifting and cardio, dont hang around and chat. because the next day those same people will be there and guess what, now its conversation time during the workout!

the place you train is not the problem, its you and what you do while you are there.
I'm just tired of the same equipment so switching to get more variety

That's a damn good advice, I never really thought about that. People usually can't talk to me either way in the gym, I can't hear shit with the headphones blasting.

I use this ap on the iPhone sometimes called myfitnesspal. You put in your goal weight and enter all the food you eat each day and it calculates everything for you.
