I've never been a runner but I have started for cardio reasons. I need to get some new shoes now. Can anyone inform me on what is and is not a good running shoe?

Just go to a good athletic shoe store. They can access your foot to see if you overpronate etc.

Any top brand at the store has years of experience and research in running/jogging shoes. Any of them are fine

What's up with all the super basic questions? What's next, "is drinking water good"?
