Barry Bonds received steroids and human growth hormone from a nutritional supplements lab implicated in a steroid-distribution ring, according to information given to federal investigators, the San Francisco Chronicle reported late Monday on its Web site. Investigators also were told that New York Yankees stars Jason Giambi and Gary Sheffield, as well as three other major leaguers and one NFL player, were given steroids, the newspaper reported.

that is because they really did know but really didn't want to know. LOL everyone knows that shit is used in all sports, otherwise most of the stars would be done by age 30. everyone knows it but no one wants to admit it because IT WILL HURT PROFITS. lol dumbass bush is pushing this crap and doesn't even realize that he is screwing with everything that is already good. I wish they would just leave this shit alone and focus on how to lower our taxes instead.Originally posted by bigkid

Oh, and another thing....ball players aren't gonna stop juicing....they're just going to be limited to taking suspension (or using the test patch) in carefully controlled amounts to stay just under the 6:1 testosterone to epitestotserone ratio like olympians must. And if the CBA doesn't cover GH for testing, they'll still be loading up on that. With a good GH + test regimen, guys will still be able to carry the extra muscle without testing positive.

He can't be 'proven' guilty. First of all, without a drug test from that time period, it's his word against someone else's.....hardly enough to prove he was using steroids/GH. Second of all, back then, MLB had no rules banning AAS back then...so his records aren't touchable. If circumstantial evidence was enough, we'd have to wipe a whole lotta athletes' records out.

You what is so ironic about the situation! The President goes on national TV before the superbowl to say we need to clean up professional sports from steriod use! He and the government can't even find terriorts or secure our borders but they are worried about a few people building muscle in professional sports. I think its there way to side steps important issues like the counties safety, jobs and taxes.
