Does anyone here know what the military drug tests cover? Will i get nailed for AAS?

  • #2
narcotics/opiates. you will not be tested for AAS unless they suspect you will test positive.

    Are you joining soon?

Talked to a NAVY recruiter today. Thinking about letting them pay for the rest of college :) I've still got 5 years! Just wanted to know because i wanted to take the dive in a month or so and wanted to make sure it wouldn't burn that bridge before I got to it.

I've got to had it to ya. Your answer was exactly what i was hoping for. I also thought it was worth getting as many answers as possible....'cause ya don't exactly ask the recruiter THAT kind of stuff.

Hey check out the reserves first! I'm in the Air National Guard some MOS's have like a $8000.00 bonus plus free college depending on what state your in. Also had a good friend of mine in the reserves just use student loans and after he graduated go active Air Force. He was a nurse so they paid like up to $35,000 in loans plus he became a captain too! What ever you don't trust them damn requiters they all lie there ass's off! I have been in the military for like 19 years try for the best deal to suit you!

From what I was told, it is now a 12 panel test. BUT, that still doesn't include AAS.

                    Hey buddy,
I'm a former marine and my roommate was the substance abuse control officer for our battalion. They're the ones who administer the tests. Nekrawolf is right. That's what they test for in RANDOM screenings. HOWEVER, if your CO or anyone in your chain of command has reason to suspect you of illicit drug use(ie. aas) they will find a reason to administer a MUCH more specific battery of tests. I went four years living within spitting distance of mexico without trying it, but there were others who got away with it. It's all about risk to reward ratio. Take a look into what a Dishonorable Discharge from military service entails. It pretty much fucks you for life. If you're hell bent on using while you're in, BE CAREFUL! Ultimatly, it's up to you. Make your decision wisely! Good luck.

I would stick to an oral only cycle at first. no need for anyone to find your pins.

I just got out of the service and was on a cycle during a random UA (urine analysis) and I was a-okay. They test for party drugs and stuff. You have to have the following to be tested for AS
                        1. Probable Cause
                        2. Concent
                        3. Justafiable reason
                        4. Approval from the CO

Once those things happen, any one of those things then you are told that you will be tested for AS. Once you give a sample then it goes DIRECTLY on dry ice and sent to the testing facility depending on your branch of service. If it isn't put on dry ice you aren't being tested for AS.

                        DOA

they dont need crap except suspiscion to test you. its not like the civilian world where you have rights.......you dont have the same laws to live by when youre in the military. thay can test you w/o as much as an hours notice, and out of all the times i got piss tested i was never once told what they were testing for, and they sure as hell never asked for "concent"!

It all depends on your unit also. I know guys who juiced but didnt get in trouble b/c the CO just didnt care! I mean why the hell wouldnt you want a bigger, stronger, faster Marine? They train for war, its not the cub scouts.
and on the other hand i was in the brig with guys who were busted for roids. The rules might say you need probable cause, concent, and so on, but in the military they can and will do what they want to you.

I agree with that, I fell under the UCMJ just like you did. BUT, there are things they have to do to the sample, like dry ice it and send it off. All they have to do is have suspicion. We can both agree to that. What do you think probable cause is, justafiable reasons, or the CO getting envovlved, these are all areas of suspicion.

Bottom line is, it all depends on what MOS you have, your unit, your base your CO in that unit and if you got the balls to take the chance. It just luck of the draw. IF you get popped you get popped, if you don't, you don't and happy juicing. Just keep a cool head and the lime light off your back and you should be ok.
