I am not sure if this common knowledge or not. I didn't know it but it is much easier to filter through a smaller syringe than a big one. I used a 60ml syringe to do the first 60mls of my prop and it took about 4 hours and my hands were painful. but then BB12 told me to use a 5ml syringe and the remaining 30 mls only took about 20 minutes. much easier. Hopefully it saves everybody some time. :)

actually I had to use a lot less pressure with the smaller syringe. It had been so long since I filtered anything (fina being the last thing) that i didn't remember how easy it was to do with the small syringe. Its funny because the two filterings I did with the 60ml syringe, the oil was superheated and it was a bitch. with the 6 5ml filterings I did the solution was at room temp and was very easy.Originally posted by bluedevil
be careful doing that. a smaller barrel will create more pressure and increase the chances of rupturing the filter.
Did you keep the solution pretty warm while filtering?
