Weird quad shot

Just did my usual shot in my left quad. 3cc. 2cc of test 1cc of decca. Put it in a good place, on the side bout middle between nee and hip. When I pulled it out blood shot everywhere. On my bed, down my leg, the floor etc. This has never happened to me ever. I had no pain at all, I can't even feel the needel in my leg. I am using 23g 1in pin. Now i have about a dime size black and blue mark at the injection site....weird. Nothing like that has ever happened to me...and I do a lot of shots

Should I be worried? It seems ok, just discoloured and a little swollen, but not much.

I don't know, any thoughts? I'll keep an eye on it.

no this is pretty common, you probably nicked a vein but the body naturally shuts it down for repair. It will look just like a deep bruise for up to two weeks (or it could be gone in a few days depends on how you heel). If your a worry wort swab the area with hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol a couple times a day to keep out any possible infection (but you really don't need to do this!)....

If blood shot out that far, then it was most likely an artery and not a vein. Veins do not have that type of pressure. I have hit plenty of veins but never had a squirter like that. I agree it should be fine but if you feel weird or the bruise doesn't go away you might want to have it checked out.

lol i did my 5th inject and i noticed that it has like blood around it in my quad, i say as long as it doesnt hurt dont worry about it.

a lil of the question but how does 3 ccs feel in the quad ? now im doing 2 but in a couple of weeks im gonna need 3ccs . thanks

3cc's in the quad is no problem for me. I go realy slow. My quads are the only place I put 3cc. I only put 2cc in my delts or tri's. Still have never put anytyhing in my glutes. Right now I am on 3cc's twicw a week, so i'll put 1.5 in 2 places or 3 in either quad.

I don't think there are any arteries in the outer part of the quad. The Femoral artery is on the inside of the quad up high. BB

I've done he exact same thing. Blood everywhere. I had someone waiting for me outside my room and I had to try and clean it off the floor. Afterwards I had a little welt there but it went down within a day.
