No, it isn't. Deca does not convert to DHT. It converts to DHN. DHN is a more milder androgen than DHT. By taking finasteride, you would be blocking the enzymatic conversion to DHN, thus triggering it to a harsher androgen. So, those two combined would actually make deca use harder on the prostate and hairline, etc. in comparision to using just deca alone. ;)Originally posted by buyb12
propecia is fine with any compound........
How much worse would it make it, dunno. But using the two together would be ill-adviseable and basically counterproductive.Last edited by Jergo; 03-23-04, 10:15 PM.

If you're not on the gear, using Propecia will prevent natural test from converting to dht. That's good for your hair. If you are on the gear, propecia will only help you with test because only test converts to dht. It will not help you with tren, deca or any dht derivative drug like proviron, winstrol, primo, drostanolone etc...or dbol bc it causes mpb through a different process than 5alpha conversion. Deca use mitigates hair loss in normal doses.

From t-mag's website:
I use one milligram of Propecia a day to keep my hair. I've heard that I shouldn't use it while on Deca. Where do you stand on the issue?
I'm in 100% agreement. If you use Deca, you shouldn't use Propecia. Here's why. Propecia is a 5-a-reductase inhibitor. It prevents testosterone from becoming DHT. Compared to testosterone, DHT is more androgenic and tougher on the hairline. Deca is 5-a-reduced to DHN (dihydronandrolone). DHN is less androgenic than nandrolone. You'd want this to happen to save the hairline or minimize the androgenic insult to it. Propecia would prevent this from happening.
In conclusion, Propecia and Deca are like a fat woman and tequila—put the two together, and you'll be sorry in the morning.
