    I am just starting out back in the gym after a few years. After turning 40 I had some blood work done and found that my testosterone levels dropped and I am currently on Androgel 5% topical ointment. I have started to use whey, NO2, androstine and creatine. After having been working out for 3 weeks I have noticed that I'm seeing the benefits of being back in the gym. I am contemplating the use of Deca but am hesitant about using it. A few of my friends use it and they're monsterous. Can anyone out there give me some advice on getting started with Deca or anything else ? I appreciate your help.

    How long have you been on the AndroGel? AndroGel typically takes about 10 doses or so before you start to notice anything significant.

    Do you feel that it is working?
    What are your goals?
    How long have you been back in the gym?
    How often do you work out?

    Deca is one of the safest (if not the safest) injectible out there. I personally would go with good 'ol Testosterone Enanthate. But then again, what are your goals and I am assuming this is your first time using, correct?

      don't use deca without running test with it. androgel is nowhere near enough to keep the wang up while on deca. do some more reading on testosterone and deca. a great first cycle is 500 mg/week of test and 300 mg/week of deca. however - since you are already on test therapy, before you run ANYTHING you need to consider the fact that your HPTA may not bounce back very quickly if at all post cycle. so before you start using gear, you may want to make the decision to be on HRT permanently. just my .02...

        I'm not a big fan of deca... I've used it a handful of times but prefer EQ over it... hence EQ is in damn near everyone of my cycles. But backing up to deca... never run it by itself... you need to have some test in there to offset it's anti libinal sides... F_T

          I have been on the HRT for about 4 months but only have been back in the gym for a month. My goal is to add mass and improve my strength. Right now I go to the gym 3 days a week....I'm still learning about all of this stuff, the problem is that if you go to 5 people you generally get 5 different stories. Most of what I've read on this site ids very helpful and informative though. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions.

              HepatoPituitary-Testicular Axis= HPTA.. ;)

              It's your endocrine system which hormones such as testosterone rely on to get to gettin'..

                I'd hold off on running a cycle until you're at a more advanced stage in your training, bro. You'll be far happier with your results if you wait.

                    I agree with hitman. You have no plan right now. It doesn't even seem as though you have an idea of what you want to look like yet by your calling your buddies "monsters." when you do start try 25mg of dbol per day for 6 weeks and mix in some deca at week 2-10 with 250mg of sustanon. don't for get the anti-e's and pct stuff. don't start a cycle like this without a 25 pound bag of whey in the pantry. I take two scoops (48gms) after every meal no matter how much protein was in it and it works great for me.
